We’ve been having quite a fight with Little G. Every time we change him… he flips over and tries to get away. Sometimes this involves poopy diapers and lots of screaming (from Little G, I do try to control myself).

Originally we thought we created a fishy monster because of the new fish tank he got for Christmas. As we kept trying solutions we figured out that this was not the case. We tried changing him in the crib, on our bed, on the floor, giving him new toys… and Grandma even got him a mobile just for the changer.  The mobile helps a bit… but still we had a naked, screaming, diaper free baby who at this point has taken to trying to leap off the end of the changer back into his crib. At least his crib is there, right?

It is really no fun to try and catch this little guy poop side up. Hmm… I don’t know if poop side down would be any better.

But, there is a light at the end of the tunnel!

I wish I could take credit for this moment of genius, but in truth, it was just me being lazy…

And this little nugget of joy and laziness wisdom has been working for almost 2 weeks now.

Are you curious yet?

Looks like nothing special, right? Oh but it is!! My laziness genius to put the wipes on the changer instead of in the wipe warmer has made a huge difference.

1. Little G stays face up – he spends the whole changing time kicking the crinkly bag by his feet.

2. I never have to wonder where more wipes are when I run out.

Score:

Mom: 1               Little G: 3, 589

I’ve got 1, that’s something!

I found you through Facebook Fan You Back, but had to check out your blog too. I love it! You have such a fun sense of humor. I'm your newest follower and looking forward to reading more. Still chuckling over the Mom/Little G scoreboard, hehehe.

Too funny!!! I'll have to keep that in mind for my little munchkin. He's not rolling around yet, but he's starting to 'buck'…that's the only way I can describe it! I'll have to try your baby wipes when the time comes 🙂

I'm having the same problem. I feel like an alligator wrestler every time I need to put on her pj's or a diaper. I've just given up and change her on the floor.

Whoever said laziness wouldn't pay off clearly didn't know me! I hope it helps you when the time comes.
