Ultimate Blog Party 2010

Hi! My name is Amber and I’m a loving mom to 8 month old Little G (Gavin) and wife to my wonderful husband D (Dan). I’ll be 30 in 3 months (gasp!) I have been blogging since November, not very long, but I am completely addicted. I love love love getting new comments! I never saw myself as a blogger but here I am blogging away.

Being a mom has completely changed my outlook on life. Definitely in a good way.

Some of my background:

D and I have been married 6 years, we met at church and got to know each other on a missions trip to Panama. We promptly followed that up with a 6 month DTS (Discipleship Training School) with YWAM. I still have a love of Panama and it’s people and can’t wait to go back.

I am a Chemist by trade. I work full time, but I am privileged enough to work from home 2 days a week. It’s tough to balance it all, but definitely worth it.

On the complete opposite end of the spectrum I completely love photography! All things photography and Photoshop related (actually anything computer related really).  I have also successfully addicted more than one friend to Photoshop.

My dream job is one where I get to think up new ideas and solutions to problems all day, like a think tank job. Too bad there aren’t any around here.

The blog:

My whole life I have wanted to do something really creative that made a difference. I’m hoping that in a small way this blog is my creative step.

Originally I started this blog with the intention of reviewing some great products and telling people about the ones I love. That has definitely morphed into something much more. I am shocked about how much I have to say… on anything… This is a place where I want to talk about my life as a mom, wife and all around non-perfect woman. I hope to help some people out with my mistakes, meet some new friends and learn whatever I can.

I will share all the things that work for me and the ones that fail miserably. I’ll definitely ask a  lot of questions that I may never find the answers to, but then again…maybe one of you will know the answer for me.

I have a creative streak so be prepared for some of my how-to ideas and some recipes. Although I am by far not the best cook out there.  Thanks for stopping by and I hope that you stick around to follow the chaos!

    involved… sort of. We have been to Panama a total of 4 times, and Costa Rica 2 times all with YWAM. I am not currently working with YWAM, but we do support some of our friends who are with YWAM. In a way I feel like we are with YWAM and our hearts are definitely in it for life. I hope at some point to go back… but that's all still up in the air, very very high up in the air. Such a small world.

    I chuckled when I read that you weren't interested in your husband when you first met him. I never really noticed my hubby till the night he asked me out for dinner. He had been coming into the restaurant I work at for over 4 months and always wanted to sit in my section.
