Tonight I watched “When in Rome.” It’s such a cute and cheesy movie. If nothing else it really got me thinking about my dreams and what I am doing with them.

There are hundreds of thousands of beautiful places in the world. Italy being one I haven’t seen. My friend Jamy who writes at Don’t Look Down just got back from what I assume was a whirlwind trip to Italy. I’m waiting on more updates on her blog and hopefully a few in person. 🙂

The last trip we took was Iceland. Pre Little G.

Now I understand a lot of people don’t travel. Not everyone cares about it that much. But I do. Iceland was amazing, and yes I would love to move there for the rest of my life. But that’s not the travel I’m talking about.

For several years in a row D and I would go somewhere and help. We would make a difference. Change lives. We would bring hope and love and anything else we could.

The last couple of times we have tried to attempt another trip something has always gotten in the way.

This year we are hoping to go back to Panama. While I was in college I taught an extra curricular science class to elementary school children. I’m hoping to do that in Panama.

There are a couple of things in the way this year.

  • I have to actually talk to the school director.
  • D’s company has been making him use his vacation when it’s slow. So he would have to use some he hasn’t actually accumulated yet.
  • Travelling on a plane with Little G.

I hope everything goes well and that we can actually go. My heart truly aches to be there and be making a difference there.

Where are you heading this year?
