Pool time?

The weather is getting much warmer and lovelier in general. That means outdoor time!

What that also means is that G wants to spend all his time outside. Unfortunately that means less time indoors for cleaning and straightening up. Of course I could just bring G inside, but what fun would that be, it’s beautiful out.

Well… genius mom that I am… I came up with a plan. I didn’t want G running around the deck where I couldn’t see him and I needed to clean the kitchen so I thought of a game he could play right outside the sliding door, with me watching.

I decided to harness his love of water. I placed a bowl of water outside the door with all his bath toys in it to play. Quickly, I realized that this would be messy so I had him dressed in only his diaper. He LOVED it and stayed right where I wanted him to. After about 20 minutes of this, G let his creative side take over. And this is what I saw.

Clearly, I am not the genius.
