My mother-in-law believes that angels talk to babies. While this isn’t a new idea, I never really believed or disbelieved this. That is until last week.
Here’s a little background. Little Sister is quite fussy about her eating times. She’s like clockwork. At 3 hours she wakes up famished! She is not a happy camper, and there is no stalling her either.
Last week I went to Target, and as I was leaving, I realized that it was a) 3 hours 10 minutes and b) she was still sleeping. I decided to go home first, and then feed her. The car will usually keep Little Sister asleep if she already is and as long as the car keeps moving. Stop lights will usually wake her up. So I decide to try and wait it out and hop in the car and onto the highway. Into. Dead. Stopped. Traffic.
Normally this drive would take me 15-20 minutes as it is. So naturally I was terrified of the screaming that would commence. And sure enough she woke up. Oh. Dear. She was quiet for a few minutes but I knew that there was a storm brewing under there. I prayed a quiet prayer that she would be ok and make it home.
But then something odd happened. She started to giggle and coo and just be happy in general. And for the extra 10 minutes it took us, plus the normal 20, she was fine. Happy, cooing and giggling. It was a really nice gift I was given.
So now I realize that angels do indeed talk to babies.
Do you believe in angels?
