And giving in to decluttering.

We have moved upstairs, we are 99.5% done. Some bathroom organization is needed, but otherwise, we’re good!

How we got to this point. Big Brother’s room was moved up first. I went through all his drawers and items to get rid of what didn’t fit or wasn’t needed. This was the easy room. Then it was our turn… oh dear! 2 lawn trash bags later, we have manageable closets. It wasn’t just giving away clothes though. It was letting go of the need to have dozens of options. I have been working really hard to make sure that all my clothes go together. That I can have a few pieces of clothes that are all interchangeable. So far this is working. I’m choosing greys, light turquoise, burgundy, oatmeal and dark purples. The light turquoise doesn’t go with the burgundy so well, but the oatmeal and greys do. I’m pretty happy.

My new motto is “If it doesn’t fit in the closet (both physically and figuratively) then I can’t have it!
